CASTNEST supports our users to advertise as the adverts are a crucial component of videos to make money from the content uploaded. Publishers have always wished for this connection to have flexible options. There are several ways to add integrations to CASTNEST.

Let's read through the following document.

  • How to post videos because you haven't done it yet. "Refer to the How to Upload Video."

Open the CASTNEST portal, then choose "Videos" from the drop-down menu. The list of uploaded videos will be visible at work.

To modify a video, click on it. The "General" setup of the video control panel will launch.

From the video control panel, choose "Advertisement."

There are several setting choices for advertising available here.

  • Pre-Roll Ad Insertion
  • Mid-Roll Ad Insertion
  • Post-Roll Ad Insertion

Pre-Roll Ad Insertion

In this section, you have three options:

  • Video Upload
  • Upload Image
  • Use of a Custom Ad Server URL

As we focus only on uploading images in this document, choose the Upload Image radio button.

Image Upload

In the image upload option, you can upload an image you want to display as a "banner" at the bottom of the player before the stream starts. Click on the grey box with the white box that has a cloud and an animated up arrow, and your local system file manager window will pop up. Choose the directory where the ads are. Choose an image and press the Select or Upload button on the file manager. This naming convention to upload the file will depend on your operating system. The uploaded image will get saved in your account's storage space.

The uploaded image will appear in the box by replacing the grey box.

  • Publishers can delete the image uploaded using the "Red" circular icon at the top right corner of the uploaded image. Now re-upload another image using the same procedure used in the earlier step.

Now it's time to test your video and see your ad in action Click on the "Sharing" option of the stream control panel and click on the player share button.

A new browser window will open with the player displaying the "Banner" and a cross button at the top right corner of the image to remove it from the display.

After playing the published stream, the "banner" will remain visible to the player. The viewer can close the banner by pressing the cross button.
