How to Geo-Restrict Video

• You have not yet uploaded any videos and must learn how to do so. Follow the instructions in the "How to Upload Video."

After uploading a video, the publisher can select it from the portal's left main menu "Video" option.

• Assume you want to add Geo-Restriction to an existing video. Select a video from the left main menu and then select a video to edit.

You can access the video control panel once you are in editing mode. There are numerous configurations available from this panel.

Let's select the Security option from the left menu of the stream control panel.

Here you have four different options based on your selected package permissions.

• Password Protection
• Geo-Restriction
• Domain Control
• Secure Token
• Geo-Restriction
• The main goal of this feature is to give content publishers the ability to limit viewership to specific countries. By default, all countries are allowed to view the published content.
• Viewers from restricted countries will not be able to access the video content. Viewers get notified that "Content is Not Available In Your Country"!
• For the implementation, you need to click on the select field under the phrase "Restrict access to specific locations worldwide."
• On clicking the "Select Field!", a drop-down list will appear containing the names of the countries.

• Type the name of the country that needs to be blocked, and the list will be sorted and show the country name you typed. The checkbox next to the country's name will mark the country in the block list. The country or countries' names must appear in the select field.

• Now click the save button.

• Now your video is Geo Restricted.
• To verify, you can use any VPN service and connect to a VPN server in the restricted country.
• Now you can test it by clicking on the "Player" option of the video control panel.

• Or click the "Sharing" option and click on the player arrow icon to open the video player in the browser's new window.

• In the new window, Castnest Player will open.

• Now to verify that the video is available in other countries, change your VPN server to any other country, and again click on the player or click the sharing option to open the player in another window.
• All viewers from non-restricted countries will be able to view the content without any restrictions.

Your video is live now with geo-restriction.

If you want to configure them, you can use several options to manage the video's viewership behaviour in the On-Video control panel.

Otherwise, you are good to go. Share the link with the audience. You can grab the sharing link from the Sharing menu option in the video control panel. Click the copy button and share.
