CASTNEST provides flexible options for the publishers to change the players' looks and feel. On a per-stream basis, the publishers have their own style for players for a distinct identity.

Let's read through the following document.

Open the CASTNEST control portal and choose "Videos" from the list of options on the left. Clicking will take you to the video listing's workplace.

To edit a stream, click on it. The stream's control panel will launch with the "General" preset.

Let's select the player from the menu on the video control panel. The "Player" adjustments option for the video will become available.

The publisher has the actual player preview that will be available for the viewers. On changing any option, the publisher can preview the changes before sharing the stream. Let's first change the colours of the player's controls and see how it works.

Primary Color

  • The primary colour is for the player's central buttons, like for play and pause.
  • To change the primary colour, click on the blue colour box. A colour picker will appear for the publisher to choose the colour.
  • Select the colour from the presented colour picker or define the RGB number in the boxes at the bottom of the colour picker.

Secondary Color

  • The secondary colour is for the player's bottom main control bar.
  • To change the secondary colour, click on the blue colour box. The colour picker will open for the publisher to choose the colour.
  • Select the colour from the presented colour picker or define the RGB number in the boxes at the bottom of the colour picker.

Click the save button at the bottom of the form. In a few seconds, the change will apply to the player.

  • You will see the alert "Success" with the message theme updated.
  • The primary and secondary colours will change, and the publisher can review them in the preview window.

Let's see the actual player in action for the viewers. Click the "Sharing" option from the stream control panel and share by clicking the "Share" button.

A new browser window will open with the player, showing the custom colour change.

Now that we have completed the colour customization on the player, there are further customization and configuration options to check out.

  • Click back to the "Player" option of the stream control panel.

Based on your selected package, you will have the right to toggle the CASTNEST icon button. By default, the CASTNEST icon is on for all publishers.

  • If the publisher has the option to toggle the button, it will turn off the CASTNEST icon from the bottom player controls, and viewers will not see the CASTNEST icon anymore in the player next to the full-screen button.
  • Click the save button. The CASTNEST Icon toggle button is off.
  • In the preview, the publisher can see that the CASTNEST icon is no longer displayed.

  • The share button will appear on the player, and viewers can see the share button in the player's top right corner.

Move your mouse to the share icon on the player's preview. The viewer will have the social platforms integrated for sharing the content on these available platforms.

  • Click on the grey box with a cloud and an animated upward-pointing icon.
  • The File Explorer of your local system will open to choose the image to upload.
  • Once the image upload is complete, it will appear in the grey box.
  • At the top right corner of the image, the publisher will have a "Red" circular icon to delete the image if the uploaded image needs to be changed.
  • Change the logo position by selecting the logo placement options.
