Please refer to the document if you have not yet created a stream.

"How to Create a Stream using a Webcam."

"How to Create a Stream using PUSH."

"How to Create a Stream using PULL."

"How to Create a Stream using SRT."

Click on a stream to open the stream control panel with the "General" tab for stream configuration.
Select the "Advertisement" option from the stream control panel.

Here you have multiple options for pre-roll ad insertion.

  • Video Upload
  • Upload Image
  • Make use of a custom ad server URL.

Video Upload

In the video upload option, you can upload a video clip you want to play before the stream starts. Click on the grey box with the white box that has a cloud and an animated up arrow, and your local system file manager window will pop up. Choose the directory where the ads are. Choose a video clip and press the Select button, Ok, or Upload button on the file manager. This naming convention for uploading depends on your operating system. The video will be saved in the storage area of your account by the uploader.

The uploaded ad video will appear in the player by replacing the grey box.
At the bottom of the player, the option to set the "Skip Timer" is available. In this case, if the publisher wishes to allow the viewer not to skip, the "Skippable-ad" toggle button will remove the skip ad option for the viewer, and the ad must play before starting the stream. Let's switch off the "skippable-ad" and press the "save" button. The setting will be updated, with a success alert at the top left corner of the screen with the title "Success" and the message "Stream Successfully Updated."
Now it's time to test your stream and see your ad in action Click on the "Sharing" option of the stream control panel and click on the player share button. A new browser window will open with the player playing the ad and will not have the option to skip the ad.
After playing, the ad-published stream will start automatically in the player.

Let's implement the "Skippable Ad." Let's go back to the "Advertisement" option from the stream control panel and turn on the "Skippable Ad" by clicking the toggle button. Set the seconds after which the viewer can skip the ad and press the save button. Again, the setting will update with a success alert at the top left corner of the screen with the title "Success" and the message "Stream Successfully Updated."

Now go back to the "Sharing" option of the stream control panel and click on the player share button. A new browser window will open with the player playing the ad. Now the viewer will have the option to skip the ad in 3 seconds
After 3 seconds, the viewer will have the "Click to Skip" button to view the stream.
By clicking the "Click to Skip" button by the viewer, the published ad disappears immediately, and the stream will start playing automatically in the player.
